At the beginning of December this year, Montenegro will present itself at the fair promoting filming locations-FOCUS held on 3 and 4 December in London.

Owing to the arrangement of the Film Centre of Montenegro, as well as for the purpose of visiting film locations and preparing a presentation, there are currently 5 experienced British location scouts in our country, and the editor of portal, Shona Smith, on the behalf of The Location Guide, who is also the organizer of the FOCUS fair.

Location managers and scouts who have worked on the most prestigious big-budget projects are also visiting Montenegro. Among them are Asha Sharma (location manager for films such as World War Z, Fury, James Bond – Spectre), David Seaton (The Dark Knight Rises, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Jason Bourne), Cat Ho (Bohemian Rapsody, Yesterday), Andrew Ryland (Spiderman: Far From Home, Phantom Thread, series: The Crown) and Matt Risebrow (who worked on the last two sequels of Avengers, among other projects).

Eminent film professionals who have been involved in some of the world’s biggest productions, as well as projects by prestigious auteurs such as Paul Thomas Anderson and Mike Leigh, have been touring Montenegro for the past several days. At the meeting, the director of the Film Centre, Sehad Čekić, introduced incentive measures to them, pointed out all the benefits of filming in our country and presented plans for the further development of Montenegro as a film destination. They also got familiar with the publication “Montenegro: Film Destination”. Scouts from the UK were also presented with the project VR Montenegro, of a production company Artikulacija, which was supported by the Ministry of Culture under the Programme “Creative Montenegro”. Location touring and supporting activities were organized in cooperation with the Film Centre of Montenegro, The Location Guide and the Association of Film Producers and Directors of Montenegro. Support was also provided by the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro.
