The Montenegrin project “Planet 7693” directed by Gojko Berkuljan according to Ana Vujadinović’s script, and produced by Marko Jaćimović, was selected for the Crossroads Co-production Forum at the industry section AGORA, within the 60th edition of Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

AGORA, which will take place from 2-9 November, is an event organized with the support of the Creative Europe MEDIA programme, and it offers workers in the film industry a variety of opportunities related to networking with professionals from the field. The activities of the AGORA market focus on the countries of Southeastern Europe and the Mediterranean region, and the main programme consists of five sub-programmes:

  • The Agora Film Market with a Digital Video Library (2-9 November)
    The Agora Talks (5 November)
    The Crossroads Co-Production Forum (5-9 November)
    The Agora Works in Progress(7 November)
    The Thessaloniki Locarno Industry Academy (4-9 November)

The Montenegrin project “Planet 7693” found itself among 15 projects which will be presented at Thessaloniki International Film Festival from 5-9 November within the Crossroads Co-Production Forum. The project was also previously supported at the competitions of the Film Centre of Montenegro.

The projects for the Crossroads Forum were selected based on script quality, creative team and feasibility assessment. The 15 chosen projects are from the following countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Ukraine, France, Cyprus, Germany, Egypt, Poland, Albania, Romania, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland, and Georgia.

The producers and auteurs of projects will be introduced to numerous film professionals from throughout the world. The program is diverse and offers networking and collaboration opportunities. Crossroads aims to support producers of feature film projects connected to the Mediterranean and Balkan regions in finding the right partners to finance and implement their projects.

Several awards will eventually be given under the AGORA programme segment, each aiming at further project development and support for their implementation.
