At the recently concluded 10th edition of the International Audiovisual Market (MIA – Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo), held from October 14 to 18 in Rome, the Film Centre of Montenegro presented its work, co-production opportunities and filming incentives for international producers implemented under the “Film in Montenegro” program.

The Film Centre’s International Promotion Advisor, Marko Eraković, presented Montenegro as an attractive filming destination to market participants, highlighting co-production opportunities with Montenegrin producers and filming incentives for producers interested in filming in Montenegro. The panel discussion titled “Filming in Montenegro,” moderated by Eraković, included producers Sandra Đuričković from the Belgrade-based production company “Work in Progress” and Ines Vasiljević from the Rome-based production company “Nightswim.”

Đuričković, who with “Work in Progress” has participated in numerous foreign film productions in Montenegro over the past 15 years, including “The Brothers Bloom” with Adrien Brody, “The November Man” with Pierce Brosnan, “Papillon” with Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek, and “Minamata” with Johnny Depp, shared her experiences of working with major foreign productions in Montenegro. She emphasized the diversity of filming locations in the country and their proximity and connectivity as crucial advantages foreign producers seek in filming destinations.
